This spatula can be used as a scraper. Its blade is not sharp, and it is less flexible than a traditional paint spatula, which makes it possible to control thicker, more viscous pastes.
Finally, this type of spatula is ideal when you want to prepare your own paints from dry pigments where the spatulas is used for mixing but also and above all to grind (disperse) the pigments thus advantageously replacing a glass Muller.
